My thoughts so far:
Halo totally ruined the shoulder cam but I like the T-cam better anyway.
The theme song isn’t bad with the graphics - it’s still generic but the theme you hear at the beginning does stick with you. It’s only about 3 bars of melody that stand out and the rest of it sounds like it should be background music in a Marvel movie.
The graphics/text are strange and have a mix of good and bad things. Showing team logos beside driver names is probably useful for new fans, but the car numbers were illegible. I do like how when a driver moves up the qualifying table that all the drivers that have been demoted flash red - it’s instantly clear how far a driver has jumped with his qualifying time. I still wish onboards were better with throttle/brake and all that stuff.
Hamilton was ridiculously fast on his pole lap but I think the Ferrari and Red Bull cars will be quick enough to challenge them throughout the season. The Mercedes looks really stable and the cornering speeds were just incredible.

Let’s look at Merc’s and Fezza’s race pace, if they are comparable then the season could be good. The party mode is too awesome tho.

skipped quallie as i just came off lateshifts and wasnt about to set me alarm clock for qualifying
i think this season will be quite close (assuming redbull and ferrari dont trip over eachother and gift it to mercedes) the redbulls being able to keep up on a power track is a good sign imo
someone lit a fire under hammies ass tho..... what a show of force

Proud of Haas, can’t wait to see how their season unfolds. Front runners seem tight, even if Hamilton is god mode at qualifying. Midfield extremely tight. Possible Sauber/TRHonda battles? No idea where Force India is. Can’t wait for tomorrow. Hopefully Kimi can stay ahead of Seb.
The graphics and camera angles are already noticeably improved, apart from the ones obstructed by the halo obviously. I wish there was more car info but I understand real estate is limited and video games have spoiled me.

For sure race pace will be closer, hammy was on party mode which I doubt they use much since they have less engines this year. Plus this circuit is pretty different to many others. I’m not giving up, but Merc could be better than season and it could be theirs to loose.
